Chocolate Enrobing Machine

This is the process of coating wafers moving on precision wire mesh belts by passing them through a chocolate waterfall. All motors are controlled via drives, and the chocolate temperature is kept stable at the desired target with a precision of 0.1 °C, thanks to PID control and SSR relays. All drives are monitored and controlled via Profinet, which enables full access to drive data while significantly reducing costs and cabling. As Kontrol A, we undertook the software development for this machine.

Foundry Sand Reclamation

After the molten metal is poured and takes its desired shape, the metal cools down and is removed from the sand molds. The waste, stone-like sand mold fragments are then transferred to the Foundry Sand Reclamation system for recovery. Here, the material is passed through a magnetic drum to be cleared of metal particles, sent to a crusher, then to a sand transmitter, and is ultimately recycled and sent to the respective silo. The control panel rearrangement and the modernization of this German-made system—including writing the software entirely from scratch—was carried out by Kontrol A.

Paper Mill Water Treatment System

In addition to an independent treatment system feeding a separate line with 4 Water Softening Tanks, we addressed the ultra-low conductivity water requirement for heating turbines. The water undergoes pre-treatment via 2 Sand Filters, and its conductivity is reduced to 0–2 µS/cm using 4 Reverse Osmosis units. The resulting product water is then processed through 10 EDI (Electrodeionization) devices, dropping the conductivity down to 0.05 µS/cm, making it perfectly suitable for the turbines. The electrical panel and the precision software of the system were developed by Kontrol A.

At this disposal facility, municipal solid waste is collected and decomposed via watering, and electricity is generated from the gas produced by the decomposing mass. The wastewater filtered from the decomposing waste is held in settling ponds and passes through specific treatment stages before being safely discharged into nature. The SCADA system for this entire process was developed by Kontrol A.

Oil Tank Monitoring

Oil Tank Monitoring

The weight (in kg) of the oil inside 6 distinct oil tanks is calculated and monitored using formulas based on its density, temperature, and volume according to the selected oil type. This allows daily oil production and shipments to be strictly controlled. The system can log all historical data at any preferred frequency and display it directly through the application interface. Designed by the Kontrol A expert team using a Siemens PLC and a Raspberry Pi Server, the system can be monitored from Windows desktops as well as all Apple and Android smartphones and tablets.

Cooling Tunnel

We developed, tested, and delivered the professional-standard software for the Cooling Tunnel Machine, which cools chocolate or compound chocolate-coated food products for a food machinery manufacturing company. Destination of the machine: Colombia. In this machine, where 4 conveyor belts accelerate and decelerate synchronously, compressors and blowers cool the products at the most optimal temperature using precision temperature algorithms. The 2 large chocolate storage and transfer tanks built for Nestle are designed to be filled by tankers, keep the chocolate ready at the desired temperature until use, and precisely transfer the required weight of chocolate to the production machine using load cells when needed. The system software was expertly prepared and commissioned by Kontrol A.

Beverage Can Hygienic Cap Machine

In 2023, for the first time in Turkey, a machine that presses branded aluminum hygienic caps onto 6 beverage cans simultaneously was designed for a cold coffee beverage company through a collaboration between a machine manufacturer and Kontrol A. Maximum efficiency was achieved using precision servo motors and PID-controlled heating elements. Kontrol A undertook the high-standard electrical panel manufacturing and professional software development for this machine.

The long-idle palletizer machine of BGC Tarım (which exclusively exports sun-dried tomatoes abroad) has been modernized. Sun-dried tomatoes filled into glass jars are arranged in 14×20 arrays and stacked onto pallets with the help of magnets, making them ready for shipment. Brand-new panel manufacturing and software development were carried out by Kontrol A.

he long-idle pasteurization tunnel machine belonging to BGC Tarım—a company that exclusively exports sun-dried tomatoes abroad—has been successfully modernized. The sun-dried tomatoes filled into glass jars are sterilized by passing through an 80-degree steam-filled tunnel on a drive-controlled conveyor belt. Brand-new panel manufacturing and software development were carried out by Kontrol A.

Probos

A proprietary product of Kontrol A, the Programmable Boom Irrigation system is a super-automatic irrigation and fertilization system that ensures the fully automated operation of the boom in greenhouses where bench-top seedling cultivation is performed. It is a labor and time-saving system that allows specific zones to be irrigated with the exact desired amount of water through digital addressing. It is an original design of the Kontrol A brand.

Milk Pasteurization

Milk Pasteurization

Raw milk is filled into the inlet tank from tankers. The raw milk drawn from the tankers via pumps is directed to the heater to be pasteurized at the desired temperature. Once heated at the sufficient temperature and for the required duration, the milk is directed to the cooler, where its temperature is brought back down to 5 °C, and sent to the holding tank prior to the filling machine. After each batch of milk pasteurization, the entire system is thoroughly disinfected via a CIP (Clean-in-Place) cycle. The entire software for this system was developed by Kontrol A.

CMS Demineralization

CMS Demineralization

For the water purification process at CMS, raw water is first passed through sand and carbon filters to ensure proper filtration for the anion and cation tanks. Subsequently, 2 anion and 2 cation tanks are operated in a tandem structure with full redundancy. When it is time for a backwash cycle, the active anion-cation line switches to acid-caustic washing, while the standby anion-cation line immediately goes into production, ensuring uninterrupted 24/7 operation. The electrical panel and software for this entire system were prepared and successfully commissioned by Kontrol A.
